AAA Approval Requirements for Lodgings Lodgings selected for AAA evaluation are observed for curbside appeal, exterior, and other fundamental factors to verify its appeal to members. If satisfied, the inspector meets with the property representative for a brief interview to gather factual data and information about any plans for improvement. Next, the inspector tours the property with the representative, verifying the AAA/CAA Approval Requirements and Diamond Rating Guidelines. The inspector discusses strengths and weaknesses of the property in relation to the guidelines. The overall evaluation process includes the review of six key areas:
Certain areas are rated with a pass/fail mark, while others are graded on a scale.
